Wednesday Night Live

Welcome to Calypso Presbyterian Church, PC-USA!  As God’s children, we gather to worship, study, fellowship, celebrate the sacraments, and support one another in ministry.  As we begin our second century as a community of faith in this place, we extend an open invitation to newcomers, neighbors, and visitors to worship with us. All are welcome!

Our church is located in the heart of the small town of Calypso, North Carolina on US 117 in northern Duplin County, four miles south of Mount Olive and three miles north of Faison, and approximately 20 minutes from the city of Goldsboro, home of Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base. Interstate 40 is easily accessible from Calypso via a four-lane connector. Mount Olive College is a four-year Free Will Baptist college, and several community colleges, hospitals, and shopping centers are within easy commuting distance.

Mission Statement

In response to God’s goodness to us, the members of Calypso Presbyterian Church seek to share the Good News of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ with each other, the community, and the world.

Officers

The nine-member Session is made up of three classes of elders who serve three-year rotating terms and a Youth elder who serves a one year term. The work of the church is largely carried out by four committees headed by elders but incorporating lay members:  Worship, Christian Education, Christian Nurture, and Property/Stewardship.
